How often do you need to change engine oil?

Most manufacturers will recommend an engine oil change twice a year or every 5-10,000 miles, but this will depend on the age and mileage of your car, and how much driving you do. If you’re not sure if your engine oil needs changing, get in touch with the team at MC Autos, and we’ll be happy to help you out.

Which is better – synthetic or conventional oil?

Conventional oil comes from crude oil and synthetic oil is man-made, and because it’s designed to take just the best elements from crude oil, it has fewer contaminants than conventional oil. Being a cleaner oil, it flows better which aids lubrication and it’s also less likely to cause sludgy build-ups in the engine. Basically, unless you have a much older vehicle, synthetic oil will be better for your car.
